Alexia Eggleston uses photography and video to explore her identity as an African American person in America. Eggleston has created an experience where the viewer is receiving the perspective of the artist, and the subjects through film and digital photography, and collage and text. Eggleston鈥檚 main source of inspiration is her family and personal life experiences.
As an undergraduate, Eggleston participated in the 天美传媒&D- Zayed Photography Cultural Exchange Blog. Eggleston has also received the Mary Colleen Heil Scholarship through 天美传媒 of Art & Design and was regarded as 鈥渁n exceptional rising junior.鈥� Eggleston鈥檚 work was featured in the 2021 Joy issue in 鈥淏lack Voices Magazine.鈥� Eggleston had five pieces accepted to the National Council on Aging Annual Group Exhibition, and received an honorable mention award
for one of the photos that was accepted. Lastly, Eggleston鈥檚 latest exhibition was at Rowan University for a group exhibition titled 鈥淓xpanded View.鈥�
